Looks like we will have another day like yesterday .. sunny, hot .. at least that is what I’m hoping as I finished reading the paper, check my e-mails and sip the last dregs of my second cup of Yorkshire Tea ..mmmmm
Ok, and I’m also checking the eagle cams: http://www.cbc.ca/bc/features/eaglecam/ The Hornby Island cam shows a peacefully sleeping eagle. I and 214 other viewers have been watching for quite a number of minutes. The eagle had his (her?) wings spread, covering their body .. while taking a rest from adventures. Then, quick as a wink the eagle was awake, alert, standing .. a bit of grooming was done and then he/she leapt into the air to commence another summer day.
The Sidney nest showed a young eaglet standing by the side of the nest. Oops, I missed the arrival of the eagle at the Hornby site .. now there are 216 viewers!
Anyway, yesterday I wrote a little note to the Yorkshire Tea contact, to inquire if the Little Urn would be making a visit, sometime, to the tea capital of B.C. (which is Victoria, of course!)
This morning I received a reply that Little Urn has returned from the U.S. and is now travelling around the U.K. And future plans are underway .. and much planning is involved in organizing a trip. I can only imagine all the work that is involved, though.
Fingers, toes and eyes crossed that Little Urn does make his way over to Canada .. and the West Coast, in particular, Victoria !
Well, I hear lots of activity at the web cams and the eagles are back at Hornby and Lafarge.
Hmm .. the morning is marching on and I have shopping to do . .so away I go . .not as fast as the Hornby eagle, but quick enough for me!
